A highly motivated experienced and professional Healthcare worker capable of providing effective, comprehensive person-centred care and support to individuals and families with needs resulting from old age, brain injury, learning disability, mental health and physical disability with the aim to enable them cope with life’s challenges and develop realistic hope for the future.

A seasoned administrator with a B.SC in Political Science from Anambra State university of science and technology Awka, Nigeria. A diploma holder in Mental Health nursing from Alison Learning, Galway, Ireland and currently doing a Nursing Associate programme with the University of Derby.

I have also undergone several trainings and acquired several skills during my career, which have enabled me to better offer services to the people I care for. These skills include, but are not limited to the following;

Management of violence and Aggression (MVA), Breakaway Techniques, Health and Safety at Work, Infection Control, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Fire Awareness, First Aid Awareness, Food Hygiene, Security Training, Mental Health Act – Code of Practice, just to mention a few.

Having worked with variety of clients, I have in-depth knowledge of Safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children as well as know how to raise concerns if necessary. I have the awareness of all strands of Equality and Diversity, and conversant with the issue of maintaining professional boundaries with patients to enable them have a positive outcome with treatment. I also have the ability to maintain professional therapeutic relationship through effective communication, using persuasions and reassurance skill as well as adopting alternative methods of communication to help overcome barriers when encountered.

I love music, dancing, movies, computer gadgets, football and above all, travelling and interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds.
